Welcome to MasalaSearch. By accessing or using our API and web services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

1. Service Description

MasalaSearch provides a search engine and price comparison API focused on South Asian grocery products available in Germany. Our service aggregates public pricing data to help developers build applications.

2. API Usage and Fair Use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access our API for development and production use, subject to the following fair use limitations:

  • You may not use the API for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • You must not attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or overwhelm our infrastructure with excessive automated requests (DDoS).
  • Unless you have an Enterprise agreement, your usage is subject to standard rate limits to ensure stability for all users.

3. Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide the most accurate and up-to-date pricing data possible, MasalaSearch makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the product data, prices, or store availability returned by the API. Prices change rapidly, and the data is provided "as is" for informational purposes.

4. Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service with or without notice.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall MasalaSearch, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

7. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
